Ashen rivulets form parallel lines across the horizon, unfamiliar formations, as we set out for a short walk in Lower Hulls Gulch to mitigate winter malaise.
This is Brenna’s first time here on her own two feet, everything an adventure for the princess and her magic wand.
Usually the outdoors cheer him up but so far they aren’t doing the job for Mr. Hunter.
Brenna will cheer him up.
Brenna checks the bridge for trolls and then the brush to ensure our safe passage.
Brenna is eager to lead the way.
Tiny trails into the brush seem indicative of trolls or sentient rodents.
The strange clouds continue to draw our attention.
A couple miles is enough for today. We turn back before trolls notice us.
Hunter spots a lizard on the trail that seems injured or stunned.
We speak a few words of encouragement then set the lizard in sand safely away from the trail. Maybe he’ll thank us next time we see him.
