After a couple months parked in pieces in the garage, I finally get the new KTM out for a first dirt ride on the Danskin trails under patches of blue and between sheets of rain. The whoops are more pleasant than on the GS and the singletrack more inviting.
Months planning the build and a month to acquire the bits and bolt them together culminated in this first, quick ride around Danskin slipped under the wire before our family heads to Washington this week for Jeremy and Julie’s wedding.¹
Pretty princess
Apologies for so much “motorcycle porn” but this little ride was all about testing the new bike. It looked rather different a few weeks ago.¹
The headlight setup is from Ian at Britannia Composites.¹ He doesn’t have pictures yet of this new design in the wild so I took care to get some poses for him.
I had fun riding with no real plan except to cover as much single track as possible.
… if you squint just right.
I enjoy Danskin in the spring. It was fun to follow little trails with the little bike. I noted a few adjustments to make but all-in-all, it’s ready for adventure.
